Finance Manager

Location: Stradbroke
Package: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance and Accounting Manager to oversee the preparation and audit of management accounts for a multimillion-pound business with multiple subsidiaries. This role requires a strong background in finance and accounting, as well as experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP. The successful candidate will be responsible for various accounting tasks, financial reporting, and providing insightful analysis to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Oversee and manage the audit process.
• Perform and review internal key journal entries.
• Manage the SAP ERP system.
• Prepare and send overdue letters and debtors statements.
• Compile salesmen reports and RA_SE balance updates.
• Generate and analyse sales reports and league tables.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and manage insurance journals.
• Conduct provision year-end analysis and prepare accounts for accountants.
• Reconcile and enter HP transactions.
• Weekly review of individual cost centre (farms) P&Ls to ensure correct cost allocations, discussing any issues with the Head of Finance.
• Provide commentary and analysis on key differences in monthly management accounts.
• Prepare additional KPIs along with monthly management accounts on a 6-month rolling basis:
• Feed cost per unit sold
• Medicine/vaccine usage per unit sold
• Energy usage per unit sold
• Salary costs per unit sold
• Review and improve raw material input recording into Hill House Mill.
• Discuss and agree on accounting policies with the Head of Finance.
• Management of two employees in your department

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in finance and accounting management.
• Strong knowledge of SAP ERP systems.
• Qualifications in ACCA or ICAEW or ACA
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
