Multiskilled Engineer with an electrical bias who will be reporting to the Engineering Manager, will involve the continuation of Planned Preventative Maintenance ensuring the mill is maintained to a level which minimises production downtime and maximises plant longevity & efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- To be able to work as a team or alone on electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Carrying out routine scheduled maintenance work, responding to equipment faults and failures.
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical breakdown problems.
- Fitting new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly.
- Controlling maintenance tools, stores and equipment.
- Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.
- Adhering to and improving health and safety policies and procedures.
- Working with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC) and various test equipment.
- Ensuring there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.
Qualifications
- 18 edition
- Time served electrical engineer with mechanical knowledge
- IPAF
- 2391 test and inspection (desirable)
Schedules and Perks
- For the first 6 months shifts will be Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:30
- After 6 months shifts will be 14:00 - 22:30 (with the ability to work alone after 20:00)
- 42 hours working week with 1.5 x Overtime or in lieu
