Maintenance Engineer / Permanent / Diss / Competitive Salary
Position 1 Recruitment are looking for Maintenance Engineer to join our client manufacturing site based outskirt of Diss.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be essential in ensuring equipment runs smoothly through proactive maintenance and prompt responses to breakdowns. Collaborating with the Engineering Team Leader, you will address issues efficiently while upholding the company’s core values of Health & Safety, customer service, and teamwork.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support all aspects of continuous improvement.
• Understand and be able to carry out the plant start up and shutdown procedure.
• To carry out checks and tests on plant and equipment as required by the PPM Schedule or other source.
• Ensure that all work is recorded on the Planned Maintenance System.
• To read, understand and work to machine manufacturers’ handbook instructions and drawings.
• Assist in the training of colleagues from other departments as required.
• To be available to work through any plant shutdown on maintenance tasks or continuous improvement projects.
• Understand the Company’s ISO 9001 Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Work under your own initiative with minimum supervision on occasion. Ensure good communication with all colleagues and supervision.
• Support a progressive departmental attitude towards Health & Safety ensuring that all corporate requirements are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
• The Health & Safety of yourself and others in your area of control.
Maintenance Engineer should possess engineering experience such as mechanical /electrical within manufacturing environments. Maintenance Engineer should demonstrate the ability to work independently to achieve objectives and take responsibility for their work and actions. Recognised engineering qualifications required.
This is a full-time permanent position afternoon shift Monday to Thursday (38 hours), 13:30pm till 23:00pm
