Reed Norwich Accountancy are currently seeking a dedicated Payroll Assistant to join our client's team on a temporary part time basis. This role is crucial for supporting our payroll process through both manual and automated tasks, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing. Additionally, the Payroll Assistant will handle payroll inquiries, maintain records, and assist with general accounting tasks, potentially including material ordering.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Perform manual and automated payroll tasks as required.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain comprehensive payroll records and ensure all payroll information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Assist with general accounting tasks and material ordering as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in payroll processing or a similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of effectively managing inquiries and providing support.
