About Us:

We are a leading recruitment company, partnering with reputable firms across the UK. Our client, a well-established accountancy firm based in Doncaster, is seeking skilled Accountants with proven experience in Sage Line 50 and Xero software. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the financial management of various commercial clients. Study support available! 3 positions available from junior to experienced.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Bookkeeping: Maintain and update financial records using Sage Line 50 and Xero, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
  • VAT Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Client Management: Liaise with clients to gather financial information, provide advice on financial planning, and resolve any accounting issues.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist clients in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial models to aid in strategic decision-making.
  • Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Audit Support: Prepare documentation and assist with internal and external audits as required.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate submission of corporate tax returns and other statutory filings.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as an accountant in a commercial environment, preferably within an accountancy firm.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong experience with Sage Line 50 and Xero accounting software is essential.
  • Educational Background: A relevant accounting qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA) is desirable.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
