PURPOSE OF ROLE 

We're assisting a well-established insurance firm in recruiting an experienced and knowledgeable Account Handler. In this role you will be responsible for providing insurance solutions to our clients in a timely and effective manner, focusing on servicing SME Commercial clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Client Relationship Management: Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries, foster strong client relationships, and assist with the preparation and renewal of insurance policies.
  • Policy Administration: Accurately process new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations, and review policy documentation.
  • Insurer Negotiations: Collaborate with insurers to obtain favourable terms, and negotiate premiums and coverage details.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere to FCA regulations and stay up-to-date with market and regulatory changes.
  • Collaboration and Team Support: Partner with Account Executives and team members to provide seamless client support and share expertise within the team. 

EXPERIENCE 

  • Experience in a similar account handling role within the insurance sector or specialism
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets
  • Proficiency in using insurance platforms and client management systems 

SKILLS 

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on client satisfaction
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy and professionalism
  • Proactive and solution-oriented, with the ability to anticipate client needs
