Omega PLC are looking for experienced Wood Machinists to join our Team!

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic individuals to join our Machine Shop. If youre an experienced Machinist looking for a new challenge, this opportunity is for you!

Role Highlights:

• Operate Wood Machining Equipment: Ensure high standards of workmanship and safety.
• Risk Management & Safety: Understand and apply safety measures, including PPE and COSHH assessments.
• Machine Operation & Maintenance: Set, operate, and maintain machines to produce top-quality products.
• Technical Skills: Read drawings, use measuring equipment, and program CNC machines.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in training, mentoring, and new initiatives.

Ideal Candidate:

• Wood Machining Knowledge: Familiar with wood machining principles.
• Literacy & Numeracy: Basic reading, writing, and numerical skills.
• Machine Operation Experience: Proven experience with wood or panel processing machines.
• Health & Safety Awareness: Understand safety issues related to woodworking machinery.
• Reliability & Initiative: Flexible, dependable, and able to work independently.
• Computer Literacy: Basic computer skills, ideally with SAP knowledge.
