Job Title: Refuse Collection Vehicle Driver

Location: Doncaster
Hours: 40 Hours per Week (Tuesday to Friday) with a 30-Minute Unpaid Break
Shift Time: Between 6:30 AM and 5:30 PM (Depending on Service Requirements)
Pay Rate: 15.00 per Hour

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Refuse Collection Vehicle Driver to join our waste management team. In this role, you will operate a refuse collection vehicle and work collaboratively as part of a crew of three to collect waste from designated routes across the borough. You will ensure timely and safe waste collection while providing excellent customer service when engaging with the public.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a refuse collection vehicle on assigned routes.

• Work as part of a team to collect various types of waste.

• Provide friendly and professional customer service during public interactions.

• Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures.

• Perform routine checks and maintenance on the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly.

• Ensure waste collection is completed efficiently and in line with service expectations.

Requirements:

• Valid commercial driving license (appropriate category for refuse collection vehicles).

• Previous experience driving large vehicles is preferred.

• Ability to work well in a team environment.

• Strong time management skills to meet route schedules.

• Physical fitness and stamina for manual handling tasks.

• Excellent communication skills.

Training and Assessment:

• A pre-induction driver assessment is required prior to starting.

• Comprehensive induction training, including two days of classroom and practical sessions.

• On-the-job training provided to ensure confidence and competence in the role.
