Position: Buildings OfficerSalary: £27,000 per annumHours: 37.5 hours per week (split shifts)
About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Buildings Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and smooth operation of our facilities, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for all occupants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Key handling and security management
- Performing a variety of DIY tasks
- Basic plumbing and electrical repairs
- Coordinating with external agencies and contractors
- Understanding and managing legionella and asbestos risks
- Utilizing strong IT skills for various tasks
- Communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Acting with initiative to complete tasks efficiently and to a high standard
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong DIY skills
- Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge
- Experience in coordinating with outside agencies and contractors
- Understanding of legionella and asbestos management
- Strong IT skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to act with initiative and complete tasks efficiently and to a high standard
