We are committed to providing a safe working environment for all employees and due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to be based at our Doncaster site.

Key Responsibilities

As part of this role you will interpret project contractual and statutory requirements and obligations through both the pre-construction and construction phases of projects.

The role holder will be responsible for advising on overall compliance in matters of Health, Safety and Wellbeing on site in accordance with Company policy, ISO standards and relevant statutory provisions.

You will maintain core areas of expertise and impart knowledge to aid the development, training and mentoring of others as well as delivering Health & Safety induction programmes for new employees or contractors working on site; as well as refresher training and advising the management team in respect to SHEQ.

The role requires updating and improving company Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and documentation, Producing Construction Health and Safety Plans and associated supporting documentation, maintain records, registers and data as required.

Part of the role involves advising / assisting Site Management in drafting and communicating Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS), ensuring they are completed in a timely manner

The role holder will support the investigation of accidents, incidents and near miss events to identify and share lessons learned.

As part of the role you may be required to chair safety meetings, both with the workforce and supply chain.

Key Skills and Requirements

You will be a seasoned, highly experienced and qualified Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental professional with extensive knowledge of managing health and safety within the warehouse and ideally construction industry with a proven record of achieving key results.

As a Health and Safety Manager you will have deep technical knowledge of health and safety legislation and keep up to date with legislative changes, be NEBOSH certified, a Member of IOSH and hold a Relevant CSCS Card.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal to deliver key safety messages, have good problem-solving skills and strong Microsoft office skills in particular Excel,

You will be self-motivated, flexible, with the ability to work under pressure accurately on an independent basis always giving attention to detail.

The successful candidate will have a positive attitude and work ethic with the ability to develop ongoing relationships.
