Orb Recruitment have multiple Permanent opportunities available for enthusiastic Extrusion Operatives to join a local manufacturer who specialise in Thermoplastic Technology solutions including PVC and Polycarbonate.
The Role
Operating on a production line with daily use of various machines and tools. Ensuring quality and efficiency are maintained throughout.
Main responsibilities
Day-to-day responsibilities for successful applicants will include, but not be limited to the following;
- Ensuring the production line is run correctly and efficiently throughout the shift.
- Ensure that products are manufactured to specification and in accordance with the production plan and work instructions.
- Ensure product quality is maintained and all quality checks are completed.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks as and when required.
- Ensure that Company Health and Safety policies/procedures are followed.
- Ensure the line is cleaned and maintained as instructed.
- Complete all required paperwork during the shift.
- Maintain the machines integrity and report any damage that has been caused to the relevant person.
- Liaise with the Shift Manager regarding any issues that could affect efficiency that arise.
- Play an active role in maintaining the OEE inputs and reports at the highest standard.
- Ensure that the finished product is packaged correctly in line with either Company or Customer requirements.
- Work to minimise lost production time through efficient practice and continuous improvement.
- Other duties as deemed reasonable and necessary both now and in the future to meet the business needs.
Working Hours
- 12 Hour shifts (Days & Nights) on a rotational, continental shift plan.
- You will be provided with a pre-determined rota for the remainder of the year.
Salary
- During Training - £25,627 plus £900 shift allowance
- Once On the Line - £27,000 plus £900 shift allowance
- Once Fully Trained - £28,500 plus £900 shift allowance
