Our client is a successful and rapidly growing SME based in Doncaster. Renowned for their innovative approach and commitment to excellence, they are looking for a skilled Interim Financial Controller to join their team on a 6-month contract, with the potential for extension.
The Role:
As the Interim Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the company. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Preparing accurate and timely financial reports
- Managing the budgeting and forecasting processes
- Overseeing the implementation of process and system improvements
- Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and standards
- Providing strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management
- Supporting the Finance Director with ad-hoc financial projects and analysis
- Leading a small team
Key Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller / Finance Manager
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
