£14.00 per hour (£16.00 per hour after 50 hours)

Full time and Part time positions available

Monday to Friday

Immediate start available

Annual leave: 28 days (inclusive of Statutory Bank Holidays)

As one of the fastest growing UK pallet manufacturers, our client is recruiting an HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER to join the team.

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday Starting hours to fit with customers requirements (no weekend working)

Very occasional nights out

Winter shutdown Christmas week (no working between Christmas and New Year)

No late finishes Good work-life balance

The role and responsibilities

• Daily record keeping and daily checks of vehicle
• Reporting vehicle defects to management
• Strapping and ensuring load secure
• Adherence to health and safety regulations
• Keeping vehicle safe, clean and tidy

Skills and experience requirements

• Full clean HGV Class 1 licence
• Experience of HGV Class 1 driving essential
• Driver CPC essential
• Counterbalance FLT licence an advantage but not essential
• Successful candidate will be physically fit of smart appearance and highly motivated
• Must be prepared to do occasional nights out as and when required
• Good team spirit/work ethic, enthusiasm and flexibility required
• Must be able to work on own initiative
• No roping and sheeting. Must be able to use ratchet straps.
• Any other duties deemed necessary to fulfil the role
