As a School Caretaker, you will play a vital role in maintaining the school environment, ensuring it's a safe and pleasant space for pupils, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include:
- General maintenance and minor repairs across the site.
- Daily security of the school premises, including opening and locking up.
- Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school.
- Supporting with health and safety checks and reporting any issues.
- Supervising contractors working on-site when necessary.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in a caretaking, maintenance, or facilities role (preferably within a school setting).
- Practical and proactive with strong problem-solving skills.
- Knowledgeable about health and safety regulations.
- Reliable, with excellent time-management skills.
- Able to pass an enhanced DBS check (or willing to obtain one).
