GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic English Supply Teacher in Doncaster for our client schools. This is your chance to make a lasting impact on students’ educational experiences while covering for a teacher’s absence.
Job Summary:
In this role of an English Supply Teacher, you'll deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons across different key stages. You'll make sure students can continue their studies smoothly and maintain a positive, productive learning environment.
Responsibilities:- Teach engaging English lessons as a Supply Teacher, following pre-set plans and adapting them to meet the needs of students.
- Foster an inclusive, encouraging, and positive classroom atmosphere, ensuring all students feel confident to participate and express themselves.
- Track student progress and offer constructive feedback to guide their academic development.
- Support students in developing their literacy skills, including reading, writing, and analysis, while sparking their enthusiasm for literature.
- Prepare students for exams and assessments, helping them with their coursework and providing clear guidance.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth continuity of education during the absence of the regular teacher.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a respectful, safe, and focused learning environment.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or a similar qualification.
- Experience as an English Supply Teacher or in a similar role is desirable.
- Excellent knowledge of the English curriculum, including key stage content, exam boards, and literacy techniques.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in meaningful learning experiences.
- A commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
