GSL Education are seeking a reliable and dynamic General Supply Teacher to join our client schools in Doncaster. This is an exciting opportunity for a Supply Teacher who thrives in diverse teaching environments and enjoys taking on new challenges each day.
Job Summary: As a General Supply Teacher, you will play an essential role in ensuring that the students continue their education smoothly when their usual teacher is away, steeping in as a substitute teacher for the team.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons across various subjects in the absence of the regular class teacher.
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure students are engaged and focused.
- Provide support to students, helping them complete tasks and manage their learning.
- Follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher, ensuring that students stay on track with the curriculum.
- Offer guidance to students and support their academic progress during lessons.
- Manage behaviour effectively in the classroom, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
- Provide regular feedback to the school staff, including observations on student progress and areas of improvement.
- Adapt quickly to different teaching styles, class structures, and subject areas as required.
- Collaborate with the school staff to create a positive learning environment for all students.
Requirements:
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE),Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in teaching across multiple subjects or age groups is desirable.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to work effectively in a range of school environments.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work with different class structures and educational needs.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with students and staff.
- A commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one).
