GSL Education South Yorkshire is urgently seeking to hire an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for a full-time role available to start as soon as possible on behalf of our client school located in Doncaster. This is a fantastic opportunity for recent Graduates or aspiring Teaching Assistants looking to expand their range of expertise into a promising role within education.

  The Ideal Candidate Must Abide by the Following Objectives:
  • Retain a genuine interest in working in schools and supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning.
  • Provide tailored support to the class teacher in delivering a creative curriculum, outdoor curriculum, or play-based learning curriculum.
  • Offer social, emotional, and academic support on a 1:1 and small group basis, if required.
  • Work in partnership with other support staff, teachers, and outside agencies to ensure each child receives the best education and support.
  • Track progress and developmental markers.
  Essential Requirements for the Role:
  • Have sound knowledge or hands-on experience supporting individuals with additional needs, learning difficulties, social, emotional, and mental health needs, or speech, language, and communication needs; or be willing to work with such pupils.
  • Be a flexible, dynamic, and reliable practitioner.
  • Have a strong regard for the students' well-being (both emotional and physical) and a positive approach to working with children to inspire, engage, and motivate them.
  • Understand how to build rapport and positive relationships with students.
  • Possess an Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one. DBS sponsorship is available on a conditional basis.
