The HR Advisor will be covering maternity and working as part of an established HR team reporting into the UK Head of HR.This is a great opportunity for an experienced operational HR generalist with a strong employment law background. The role will suit someone who has experience working in the manufacturing sector ideally in a high-volume capacity and understands an organisation that has strong traditional values, supports their workforce - and an organisation where individuals take pride in their work.Ideally the HR Advisor will be a true operational HR generalist, with experience in developing people, capable of designing, writing, and delivering training practices, upskilling the workforce, previously worked in companies that are KPI driven and used to completing detailed data driven reports where attention to detail and accuracy is of high importance. This role will work closely with operational SLT teams at different sites and will be the "go to" person for most HR matters. It is important for the HR person to quickly establish credibility at all levels, have an approachable and engaging manner, someone who could be a strong mentor to the more junior HR members, strong emotional awareness and able to read individuals well, worked in an environment that was not always structured, where key decisions are occasionally made from informal discussions. Previous experience working in a positive people friendly driven culture where individuals matter - in this organisation there is a real pride in what they do. Essential Qualifications and Experience:CIPD level 5 - desirable but not essential.Strong knowledgeable employment law background.Experience of ER and some complex casework.Previously mentored other HR team members.Experience in writing and delivering training material, strong coaching skills. At least 3 years operational HR generalist experience at HR Advisor or HRM level ideally worked in manufacturing. Understanding of working in a business where strong values exist. Exposure to organisational change and in an environment where no 2 days are the same.Strong organisational skills, organised, high level of resilience and diligence, "excellent attention to detail".The ability to develop and build credible relationships with different stakeholders and quickly add value to the site's operational teams.Excellent emotional awareness, strong communication and written skills - with particular attention to detail and accuracy (crossing T's and dotting I's, following process, taking time to get the detail right)."Work hard play hard" culture, where the culture allows employees to play their part being part of something they are proud of.
