Senior IT Project Manager - Fixed Term Contract (12 Months)

Are you an experienced IT Project Manager with a strong background in delivering large-scale system and business change projects? We are looking for a Senior IT Project Manager to lead major projects, manage stakeholder relationships, and mentor project team members.

About the Role

As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of key IT projects, engaging with senior stakeholders across multiple business divisions, and managing supplier relationships. You will also provide leadership and mentorship to project delivery teams, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of major IT projects, ensuring they align with business objectives.
  • Facilitate and lead project steering boards with senior stakeholders.
  • Provide clear and timely reporting to senior management.
  • Oversee risk management and escalation processes.
  • Manage project budgets effectively.
  • Mentor and develop project team members, building a motivated and engaged workforce.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timescales and budgets.

Skills & Experience Required

Essential:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing large system and business change projects.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously (at least 3).
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly in multi-site environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good understanding of change management and its impact on diverse teams.
  • Ability to develop and execute detailed project plans.
  • Previous experience mentoring and managing project teams.

Desirable:

  • Experience in CAFM, BIM, or the housebuilding sector.
  • Project management certifications such as IPM, PMI, or APM.
