Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Production Engineer to join an established Engineering team, with a well known manufacturing business. The role is to support and learn from the Engineering team in a variety of functions, including assembly data collection, process improvement initiatives and workstation optimisation. The role will have a mixture of both hands-on and theoretical work, drawing on and developing a wide range of Engineering skills and report directly to the Engineering and Quality Manager.As the Graduate Production Engineer you will be involved with:
- Hands-on collation and analysis of technical quality and process data
- Develop root cause analysis methodology and practice for quality and process issues within the warehouse, assembly and shipping environments
- Support projects focussed on continued process and quality improvement
- Support the general preparation for new product introductions
- Identify areas for improvement through observation and data analysis
- Other duties as assigned
To be considered for the Graduate Production Engineer role you will need:
- Educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Practical manufacturing experience is essential (internship, work placement, etc)
- Personal qualities and skills:
- Attention to detail with a hands-on approach to problem solving
- Excellent mathematical and statistical analysis skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and Power BI
- Ability to multi-task, manage their time well and prioritise their workload accordingly
- A desire and motivation for self-improvement and learning
