Our client in South Yorkshire, a leader in the manufacturing sector who is renowned for its cutting-edge technology and advanced manufacturing processes is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team and be part of an organisation that values innovation and excellence!

Responsibilities:

As a Quality Engineer, you will:

  • Drive proactive product and process improvements to enhance quality standards
  • Operate and develop the Quality Management System (QMS), writing procedures and processes
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001/14001 standards and customer-specific requirements
  • Lead and conduct internal and external audits, maintaining high levels of right-first-time quality
  • utilise structured quality techniques such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and 8D problem-solving
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality issues promptly

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Relevant manufacturing or engineering degree (NVQ Level 3 preferred)
  • Minimum of five years' experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance processes and systems
  • Proven experience in root cause analysis and problem-solving
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Experience in polyurethane manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
