We are seeking a Lead Job Analyst to oversee the job evaluation process within a local authority in South Yorkshire. This pivotal role ensures that all roles are assessed accurately and fairly using the National Joint Council (NJC) Job Evaluation scheme. The successful candidate will lead a team of job evaluators and provide expert guidance on complex evaluations.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead and manage the job evaluation team, ensuring effective operation and support.
  • Conduct and oversee job evaluations using the NJC scheme, ensuring consistency and fairness.
  • Review and approve job grading recommendations, providing expert advice on job evaluation and grading issues.
  • Develop and implement job evaluation policies and procedures to streamline processes.
  • Train and mentor junior job evaluators, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and fairness in all evaluations and recommendations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in job evaluation, preferably with expertise in the NJC scheme.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Ability to handle complex evaluations and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
