Purchasing Administrator / Buyer

c.£35k plus bonus – Central Doncaster – flexi Mon-Fri hours

Purchasing Administrator / Buyer, duties:

This role starts with order preparing, processing, and submitting all purchase orders

Conduct regular stock takes and cycle counts. Working closely with the warehouse and distribution teams to monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring accurate stock records and monitoring and maintaining supplier performance, costs, and availability of goods, chasing all purchase orders to ensure timely receipt. It is important that the person in this role understands freight and certification costs to ensure they are controlled and reduced wherever possible.

Long term, this role will develop and as the company buyer, you will source new worldwide suppliers and conduct auditing visits when required, both UK & overseas.

Purchasing Administrator / Buyer, requirements:

A hunger for saving the company money, enthusiasm for the whole process from basic admin to supplier management.

Previous buying experience within a ‘buying and selling’ business is desirable.

Experience of purchasing administration is essential, having supported the process of buying from worldwide suppliers, transport, and courier services.

Experience of SAGE 200 would be ideal, but not essential.
