About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and qualified teacher to provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 student who requires assistance with literacy. The student has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and needs help developing reading and writing skills. Additionally, the role involves managing the student's behaviour to create a conducive learning environment. You will be working alongside an Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) tutor to ensure a comprehensive support system for the student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored literacy support to enhance the student's reading and writing abilities.
  • Implement strategies to manage and improve the student's behaviour.
  • Collaborate with the ABA tutor to align on strategies and support plans.
  • Work closely with the student to meet the goals outlined in their EHCP.
  • Monitor and report on the student's progress.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with primary school students, particularly in literacy.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.
