My client, a leading provider of social housing in the South Yorkshire, has an immediate requirement for a temporary Housing Officer to cover a patch in the Doncaster area. This is a hybrid position (3 office (patch) / 2 home) for an initial three month position.

As a Housing Officer you will be responsible for engaging and developing relationships with the residents on your patch ensuring that a first class customer-centric service is delivered for all aspects of the tenancy experience.

Your main duties will include signing up new tenants and shared owners, minimising voids, initial investigation of ASB and other tenancy breaches including attendance at court, enforcement of arrears recovery policy and estate inspections. Applicants must have a strong background in housing management including ASB, estate services contract monitoring and an understanding of Landlord, Leasehold and Tenant legislation is essential for this post. Previous experience of shared ownership and establishing strong partnerships with managing agents is also desirable.

Applicants must be confident in a customer facing role and be able to forge strong working relationships with other departments and external bodies to ensure that a first class service is delivered at all times.
