About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to two young children with language and communication difficulties. You will be working with a child in Year 1 and a child in Reception, helping them to thrive in their learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to children with language and communication difficulties.
  • Implement strategies to enhance language development and communication skills.
  • Foster a calm and nurturing learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for the children.
  • Monitor and record the children's progress and adapt support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis, particularly those with language and communication difficulties.
  • A nurturing and calm approach to working with young children.
  • Ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, on a long-term basis.
  • Desirable: Experience with Makaton or other signing methods.
