About The Role
Morrison Energy Servicesis recruiting for an Technical Training Instructor/Assessor,to work on ourTransmission Networkscontract at ourNewtonTraining Schooland Live Projects around the country.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a great team and further progress your career. Training and assessing Qualifications such as PTLLS, AET, TAQA or equivalent and working at height experience is necessary for this role and will be provided to the right candidate.
As theTechnical Training Instructor/Assessor,you will be part of ourTechnical Training Teamwho are responsibleforplanning, design and delivery of technicaltraining and competence assessments for MES Transmission Networks.
You will report directlyto the training manger and as well as training delivery you will be required to attend operational sites around the country to carry out competency assessments where you will review current practices to ensure compliance is maintained.
As theTechnical Training Instructoryour responsibilities will include:
  • To deliver high quality training for a range of technical health and safety courses to internal and external delegates
  • To continuously monitor, develop and improve personal standards and that of the suite of technical training courses
  • To assist in the processing of training courses and assessments as per the training Quality Management System (certification, training calendar and archives)
  • To assist the Technical Training Manager in the identification and development of training courses,coursesyllabus and lesson plans aligned to the business and client requirements ensuring they are in line with current legislation
  • To provide technical training related advice across the business as required
  • To be responsible for delegate safety, health and well-being whilst attending courses in accordance with our current Morrison Energy Services Transmission Networks policies
  • To carry out Competency Assurance Assessments both at Newton and on live sites around the UK
  • Review current working procedures to ensure the workforce remains compliant to current work instructions.
  • Identify areas for improvement within MES TN working practices.
  • To assist the SHEQ team on site audits and investigations when required and skill set matches
  • Promote company values and standards and exhibit appropriate behavioursin accordance with Company ethos.
  • Maintain excellent levels of communication throughout the team and the wider business
  • Positively promote the internal and external capabilities of the Training School through business development opportunities, industry networking, quality training and effective customer-relationship management
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
Essential
  • Full UK DrivingLicense
  • Practical experience of working at height
  • Ability to build effective relationships
  • Effective written & verbal communication
  • Ability to communicate well to large groups of delegates
  • An understanding of Risk Assessments and Controls
Desirable
  • Excellent Leadership skills
  • Experience operating computers
  • An understanding of Microsoft applications
  • Customer relationship management skills
  • PTLLS, AET, TAQA or equivalent
