We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Wood Machinist with a strong background in programming and operating our client's brand new CNC machines. Experience with SCM Maestro programming software is highly desirable. You will work closely with our client's design and production teams to produce custom wood components, ensuring each piece meets exact specifications and our high-quality standards.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: £26,364 - £31,434 per annum, depending on experience
- Annual Leave: 32 days, including bank holidays.
- Benefits Package: Westfield Health cover and company pension scheme
- Overtime: Guaranteed 5 hours per week paid at time and a quarter
- Early Friday Finish
Role Responsibilities of a CNC Wood Machinist
- Operate and program CNC woodworking machinery, including those running SCM Maestro.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Ensure efficient, precise, and safe machining processes.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machines.
- Collaborate with designers and team members to optimise production processes.
- Maintain quality control standards throughout production.
Requirements of a CNC Wood Machinist
- Proven experience as a CNC wood machinist.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, particularly SCM Maestro.
- Strong understanding of woodworking materials and machining techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
