Your Company:NET Recruit are partnering with a highly successful and market-leading client, who are searching for a Tax Manager to join their team located in the Dorchester area. With several decades of experience and ongoing success under their belt, this business, which is considered a house-hold name across the country, is continuing to deliver excellent products to its growing customer base and pride themselves on their fantastic reputation.The position holder will be joining the dynamic tax department, supporting and working closely with the Head of Tax, in overseeing the tax compliance and strategy for the business. This will be an exciting and career-defining opportunity for an ambitious senior tax specialist, who is seeking that next move to advance their knowledge and to open up a sea of further opportunities for growth.Your Role & ResponsibilitiesWhile in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Taking ownership of ensuring that the business is completely tax compliant across all areas, including VAT Corporate Tax and Employment Taxes
  • Reviewing the business tax strategy, tax contribution and risk register on a regular basis to ensure that these are as efficient as possible
  • Working cross-functionally across governance, risk, legal and HR to ensure that taxes and costs are accounted for and managed correctly under UK legislation and reporting requirements
  • Managing tax efficiency in reporting, advisory and compliance across the business
  • Creating and setting policies across the wider finance function, to ensure compliance with UK tax legislation and liaise with international colleague to ensure the same is done overseas
  • Managing the tax team to ensure that all taxes are calculated correctly and on time
  • Supporting the quarterly and annual tax reporting and the management of the effective tax rate for the business
What You Will Need To Apply:The business is seeking applications from ACA or CTA qualified accountants with strong post-qualified experience, at least 5 years specifically in tax, and from industry and within a 'Big 4' accountancy practice, acting as a Senior Manager/Manager. You should possess excellent technical tax knowledge and have previously advised on strategy matters and policies. You will need exquisite communication and analytical skills and be able to manage a diverse workload, as well as acting as an inspirational leader and motivating team manager. Additional skills are that preferable are proficiency with Microsoft Excel and SAP 4 Hana.What You Will Get In Return:The successful candidate within this position can expect to gain a salary in the region of £90,000 depending on previous experience and technical knowledge, and this will also be supplemented by a generous remuneration package including excellent bonus potential, competitive pension contributions, private healthcare options and a strong holiday allowance.
