Hydrographic Surveyor(s) - Dorset Coast

Overview: Join my client's dynamic team that is seeking Hydrographic Surveyors (different levels) to join their team in Dorset. This role offers a mix of office and Coastal work.

Qualifications:

  • Degree (2:1 or higher) in hydrographic surveying or related field
  • 2+ years' experience with single beam and multibeam, side scan sonar, and geophysical surveys
  • Proficient in hydrographic survey software and CAD
  • Experience with vessels under 12m
  • UK driving license and ability to commute within 45 minutes

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience as a Senior Surveyor
  • Proficiency with Hypack
  • Experience with vessel-mounted LiDAR and magnetometer surveys
  • Boat driving and UAS qualifications
  • Experience towing survey vessels

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage MBES installation and system configuration
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and hiring
  • Schedule and allocate staff to projects
  • Lead and support junior surveyors and field teams
  • Keep clients updated throughout projects
  • Handle operational logistics and report defects
