One of our leading NHS clients is looking for experienced Mental Health Nurses to cover shifts in community hospitals in South West England. We are seeking applications from Registered Mental Health Nurses who have experience working in community services.

Job Description:

  • Conduct nursing assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate care programs.
  • Provide high-standard nursing care and treatment in collaboration with multi-disciplinary staff.
  • Actively participate in therapeutic activities and treatment programs, including attending case conferences and review meetings.
  • Arrange and participate in patients' meal services, including special diets.
  • Maintain good relationships with staff across disciplines, relatives, and visitors for smooth service delivery.
  • Take charge and coordinate shifts in the absence of the Ward Manager/Clinical Team Leader, and supervise junior staff.
  • Ensure cleanliness and tidiness in ward and hospital areas, and use emergency equipment when necessary.
  • Maintain effective reporting systems and high standards of record-keeping (RiO/Ulysses) and report accidents/incidents.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (Mental Health)
  • Ability to take charge of a ward/caseload regularly
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to use initiative and positively influence others
  • Basic IT skills, normally obtained through practice or practical training
