Housing Officer37 hours per weekDorsetUp to Ā£25 per hour Umbrella2-3 month contractWe are currently working with a Registered Social Landlord to recruit for an experienced housing officer to cover a patch of properties in Dorset.You will be ensuring rough sleepers are placed in appropriate temporary accommodations, such as hostels or supported housing, based on their specific needs and risks.You will be responsible for managing specialist temporary accommodation units such as rough sleeper projects and working with the rough sleeper project group and housing options and lettings and housing register team to ensure clients are moved in and out efficiently.You will be liaising with various external and internal agencies, such as mental health services, substance misuse programs, and housing providers, to ensure a comprehensive support network.You will be advocating on behalf of rough sleepers, helping them navigate systems like healthcare, benefits, and legal aidConducting regular inspections of temporary housing or supported accommodation to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with housing standards, and assisting clients with tenancy/ license agreements, explaining their rights and responsibilities, and providing guidance on maintaining a stable tenureDuties will include voids control, sign-ups, compliance Health and Safety visits, dealing with breaches of tenancy and ASB cases with minor rents enquiriesFor further information about this role, please apply now or contact Mark Grove on
