About the Role:
As a Food Technology Teacher, you will inspire and educate students, fostering their creativity and practical skills in the kitchen while providing a strong foundation in food science and design. You will be part of a supportive team, committed to delivering outstanding lessons that engage and challenge students, preparing them for both exams and real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Food Technology to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students
  • Develop students' practical skills and knowledge in food preparation, nutrition, and hygiene
  • Support and guide students through coursework, assessments, and exams
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and contribute to the school's overall educational vision

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified Food Technology Teacher (PGCE or equivalent)
  • Passionate about food technology and education
  • Experience teaching at secondary school level, ideally KS3 and KS4
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
