Bookkeeper

Newdigate (Dorking) (Must have experience with Quickbooks)

Part Time 1 day per week

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join their team for 1 day a week. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This role requires a strong understanding of bookkeeping practices and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper:

  • Maintain Financial Records: Record daily financial transactions and ensure accuracy in accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reconcile Accounts: Regularly reconcile bank statements and credit card statements with internal records.
  • Prepare Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Manage Payroll: Process payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Monitor Budget: Help track budget variances and assist in budget preparation.
  • Support Audits: Prepare documentation and support for internal and external audits.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
