Marketing & Event Coordinator - FTC 3 - 6 months

Location: Dorking (Need to be flexible for travel)

37.5 per week full time plus other hours as required to fulfil the role

Our client is looking for a Marketing & Events Coordinator to help support a range of marketing activities and planning and implementation of regional events. The events can range from large internal meetings or internal regional events to larger, client facing meetings & UK product launch events.

Duties of Marketing & Events Coordinator:

  • Reporting directly into the UK region marketing manager you will be responsible for supporting a variety of marketing activities.
  • responsible for overseeing the companies many different channels and have a key role in the planning and implementation of regional events.
  • coordinating and overseeing every aspect of an event from planning to delivery.
  • You will be working closely with internal stakeholders across the business to ensure the messaging is aligned and the brand is promoted based on the brand strategy and values.
  • occasionally drive across the country to deliver and set up exhibition equipment. In addition to this there is manual handling of the equipment and overnight stays required.
  • You will be working on the website, social media, merchandising and other outlets, while working closely with the various different competence areas (within the business) to coordinate effective content delivery
  • As part of the role there will be regular requirements to manually lift exhibition equipment and transport items between locations
  • Contributing to the development of new ideas and strategy

The Person:

  • Full UK Driving Licence required
  • You must be confident speaking on the phone and ensure a telephone conversation is the primary method of communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is essential for this position, and you must also be willing to learn new skills and then implement them within your role.
  • Strong planning, proof reading, and communication skills are required for this position
  • Multi-task, with minimal supervision, be self-motivated and able to work under pressure
  • Highly organised with evidence of ability to plan multiple overlapping items
  • Skilled and confident in written and verbal English to support the nuances of UK regional communications
  • Ability to carry out research and understand technical product features or benefits
  • Requirement to travel domestically & internationally on occasion and drive company vans for work
  • Experience relating to coordination and organisational skills
  • Prior experience of working with agencies or external bodies
