Events Manager

Location: Dorking

Salary: £40,000

Our client is looking for an Events Manager with previous experience to manage and oversee all events such as weddings and conferences. You will be the required to be the front face for the business interacting with clients, liaising between different departments and overseeing the whole organisation for events. Duties of the Events Manager

  • Manage and oversee wedding events and conferences.
  • Possess a strong passion for food and beverage service.
  • Take control of event delivery, monitoring all logistics and on-the-day operations run smoothly and on par with client expectations.
  • Organisation of room setups, Audio/visual requirements, and staff coordination to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Manage and motivate the events team to deliver impeccable service with a can-do mindset.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the team during events, ensuring a quick resolution of any issues.
  • Act as the face of the client on event days, ensuring every guest feels valued and supported.
  • Build strong relationships with clients on-site, ensuring their vision is appropriately and efficiently executed.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales teams, coordinators, and other departments to ensure events operate smoothly from planning to execution.
  • Constantly strive to evaluate and improve operational processes to maintain the highest service standards.
  • Anticipate challenges, identify solutions, and ensure every detail is effectively managed for a flawless guest experience.

The Person

  • A proven track record in event management within a luxury/boutique setting.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire a team. Maintain composure in high pressure scenarios should they arise.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion and drive for delivering outstanding service and a constant commitment to always exceeding guest expectations.

Due to a rural location, you must have your own driving licence and vehicle.
