Our client is looking for an Assembly Supervisor to be responsible for designated teams of assembly fitters encouraging team spirit, supervising, and working to workshop schedules and production targets, communicating concerns and problems to the Assembly Manager, while maintaining disciplines in procedures, safety, good housekeeping and general conduct.Duties of Assembly Supervisor:
  • Management of the production process through Unit 9 assembly areas.
  • Ensure timely production of assemblies and achieve output levels in line with the master schedule.
  • Set daily/weekly targets in all work areas after weekly meeting with Production Control department.
  • Monitor performance regularly against these targets and implement corrective actions to achieve the plan, display daily targets.
  • Management of the workforce with the Team Leaders to achieve production targets and maximise productivity.
  • Work closely with all other production Supervision - Particularly in area of high shared resource and support each other as much as possible.
  • Provide cover for the other assembly Supervisors in their absence.
  • Manage holidays, sickness, absence and complete back to work, Bradford Factor and Time & Attendance interviews where necessary.
  • Support investigation processes (H&S and HR) as and when required.
  • Ensure high levels of housekeeping are maintained in all areas of the site.
  • Maintain high standards of health & Safety in the workplace.

The Person:

  • A positive 'can do' attitude to problem solving and succeeding whatever it takes.
  • Must be a team player with good people skills.
  • Supervisory Experience
  • Conversant with manufacturing processes and principles in assembly.
  • Good engineering skills with hands on knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Experience of lean manufacturing tools and techniques and single piece flow production.
  • Preferably computer literate.
  • Working to high quality standards
  • Able to organise & prioritise own & others work
  • Working to high level of H&S standards
