Warehouse Parts Controller

£30,000 Base & Benefits Inc Quarterly & Annual Bonus Scheme

Dorking

My client is an award winning and highly successful vehicle body repair centre with multiple body repair centres. Due to on-going growth, we now require a Warehouse Parts Controller to be responsible for deliveries of vehicle parts, carrying out inventory checks and maintaining reports of deliveries, returns and defects. The Parts Controller should be familiar with supply chain procedures and have good communication skills to interact with vendors, clients and internal teams.

Ultimately, you will increase profitability and effectiveness by always maintaining an organised warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving part deliveries, bringing them on to account
  • Correctly storing the parts, assigning them with identification number
  • Update the company software to inform other departments of the parts delivery status
  • Track shipments and address any delays with management
  • Oversee storage of parts, particularly of fragile items and ensuring that they are stored correctly to avoid damage
  • Communicate with the workshop staff in order to inform status of part storage locations
  • Coordinate regular inventory checks
  • Keep updated inventory records

Requirements and skills

  • Proven work experience as a Warehouse Stock Assistant or similar role
  • Good understanding of supply chain procedures
  • Working knowledge of inventory management procedures
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or part of a team
