Transport Administrator, required for a New Company in Dover

This is a great opportunity to work for a BRAND-NEW transport company in Dover, offering a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, working with large well-known retailers. Our clients are a growing company with a great future ahead.

As a transport administrator, you will be handling a wide range of tasks, from scheduling and dispatching to managing logistics and ensuring compliance with regulations. This variety means that every day is different, and is a very rewarding role.

Job Purpose:

  • Responsible for ensuring all loads are collected in line with the transport plan.
  • Ensuring that collections are made on time and in full to meet the delivery cut-off times, report any delays to the Day Runner and/or supervisor.
  • To communicate all delays to the relevant consignees and customers.
  • Tracking the vehicles to ensure they are routing correctly and completing the work as planned.
  • To Track all fleet and subcontractors in a timely fashion to ensure all collections and deliveries are completed as per the transport plan and customer requirements
  • Communicate with suppliers, RDC's, Farms and depots to ensure that vehicles are not being held up for excessive times.
  • Complete the KPI sheet in full (to include all late loads and reasons for late running vehicles)
  • Communicate all delays and issues with loads to the Day Runner/Operations Supervisor
  • Ensure the PM Collections are tracking on time and inform the farms/suppliers of any delays.
  • Complete a detailed handover of any late running loads and tightly planned routes for the following day.
  • Assist the Day Runner with the Texting to drivers

Hours:

4 Days on 4 Days off , 8:00 - 20:00

Salary:

£25,000 per annum

20 Days holiday
