Job Summary

Our client is looking to recruit a Mechanical Technician to carry out all aspects of improvement, maintenance and repair works.

This will require considerable technical knowledge over a wide range of engineering plant, equipment, and installations. You will be required to carry out maintenance and repairs on a wide range of equipment which includes Linkspans, HGV’s, RORO Tugs, Cranes, Hydraulic systems, vehicles, and small floating craft.

Candidate requirements

  • Apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline to minimum NVQ level 3 standard and associated C&G’s?or equivalent
  • 3 years post trade-qualification experience in relevant discipline
  • Hydraulic, heavy machinery, plant and or vehicle experience
  • Experience of reviewing and creating RAMS
  • Experience of Mechanical assessments and fault diagnosis
  • Technical specialist knowledge in a wide range of plant and equipment
  • Good standard of IT literacy
  • Full driving licence
  • Experience of welding/fabrication would be advantageous
