The Role:We are seeking a skilled Senior International Transport Planner to join our client’s dynamic FTL team. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate transport schedules, manage logistics, and maintain seamless communication between stakeholders, ensuring high standards of efficiency and compliance.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re searching for a driven and solution-oriented professional with a background in transport logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and optimise transport schedules, adhering to legal requirements and customer needs.
  • Oversee collections and deliveries, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Meet operational targets, including cost efficiency and profitability.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, drivers, and internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate administrative records and handle related tasks.
  • Support other business areas as required.

General Responsibilities:

  • Uphold company values and adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and up-to-date knowledge relevant to the role.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in transport planning, haulage, or freight forwarding.
  • Strong understanding of fleet and driver management, scheduling, WTD, and tachographs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident handling data.
  • Familiarity with health and safety procedures.
  • International Planning Experience
  • Freight Forwarding knowledge
  • Customs familiarity
  • Understanding of cross border trade

Skills and Abilities:

  • Highly organised and able to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, with strong numerical skills.
  • Problem-solver who can take initiative and work independently.
