Production Team Leader

Type: Permanent

Location: Dover
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM (flexibility required for occasional production demand). 38 hours per week.

Pay: 26,676 P/A

Job Purpose:
The objective of this role is to lead a production department in producing finished goods to agreed specifications and standards, achieving daily planned output within estimated labour hours.

Main Activities (Please note this list is not exhaustive):

  • Ownership and Accountability: Responsible for overseeing and managing the production line.
  • Target Achievement: Ensure daily planned output targets for the production line are met.
  • Quality Control: Monitor quality throughout production, controlling waste levels.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production outputs, waste, and stock.
  • Training and Communication: Ensure effective communication and conduct training for all employees on the production line.
  • Team Building: Promote a "one team" approach where all employees treat each other with dignity and respect.
  • Hands-on Support: Provide support on the production lines alongside colleagues as needed.
  • High Standards: Maintain high quality and housekeeping standards.
  • Professional Integrity: Act with professionalism, integrity, and always align with Company Values.
  • Health and Safety: Foster a zero-harm culture, prioritising health, safety, and well-being in the workplace.

Person Specification:

Knowledge/Expertise:

  • Manufacturing Experience: Proven background in manufacturing processes.
  • Quality Focus: Strong attention to quality standards.
  • Willingness to Learn: Openness to learn and progress in the role.
  • Leadership Experience: Prior experience in a team-leading role, or the ability to quickly develop these skills through training and experience.
