The Role:

Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with an established and growing construction company to find a dynamic and detail-oriented Buyer. As a Buyer in the construction sector, you will play a pivotal role in managing the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective supply of materials, equipment, and services needed to deliver high-quality construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and purchasing materials, plant, and equipment for construction projects.

  • Building strong relationships with suppliers and negotiating competitive pricing.

  • Managing supplier performance and ensuring quality, delivery, and compliance with specifications.

  • Working closely with project managers and site teams to ensure seamless material delivery.

  • Ensuring the procurement process is cost-effective and aligned with project budgets and timelines.

  • Supporting the creation and review of supplier contracts and agreements.

  • Managing stock levels and inventory control to avoid delays in project schedules.

  • Keeping up-to-date with market trends, pricing, and product innovations in the construction sector.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Buyer in the construction or related industries.

  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and procurement processes.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

  • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency with procurement software and MS Office.

  • A degree or relevant qualification in a construction or business-related field is desirable.
