Principal Manufacturing Engineer

My client is an established global manufacturer of low volume, high value, engineered-to-order solutions supplying throughout EMEA from their UK site.

We are looking for an experienced and Senior / Principal Manufacturing Engineer with lots of UK experience having worked in large process driven manufacturing environments.

Visa sponsorship and short term visa's are not possible.

The Role

  • Process design and improvement to process flow and layout strategies:
  • Provide technical support to production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Develop and implement quality control systems and standards, RCCA
  • Specify, select, and oversee the installation of new manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and techniques to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and process flow diagrams.
  • Prepare reports on manufacturing performance
  • Lead and manage projects aimed at improving manufacturing processes
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conduct training sessions for production staff on new processes or equipment.

Requirements

  • Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering - essential
  • Substantial experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, process plant, HVAC, capital equipment, large infrastructure projects involving multi-disciplinary electro-mechanical facets.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials including fabrication, welding, structural steel, building construction, pre-fabrication / off-site manufacturing
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks - essential
  • Experience with low volume, high value manufacturing environment - essential

Hours: 38 hours, flexible working between (Apply online only)
Friday 9.30 to 1.00
