Health, Safety and Sustainability Lead (part-time & contract)
The role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, and sustainability initiatives within the manufacturing environment. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, promotes a culture of safety, and drives sustainability efforts to reduce environmental impact and enhance corporate responsibility.
Applicants must have extensive manufacturing/industrial environment experience, be available start in April and looking for 2-3 days pw.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety programs
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and industry standards
- Write and maintain RAMS for both factory and site execution.
- Lead investigations
- Create regular reporting dashboards
- Manage occupational health surveillance assessments
- Develop and implement sustainability strategies
Rate
- 300 - 350 pd
- contract 6 months
Role Requirements:
- Significant experience in health and safety management in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills, with the ability to conduct training, lead investigations, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, with the ability to translate guidance into a practical way of working.
- Experience implementing sustainability initiatives and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
- Qualification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent health and safety qualification.
