Due to business growth, we currently have a new opportunity for an Associate Director to join our Private Client Tax team. You will play a key role in the continued growth of our department, with the autonomy to develop your own portfolio and drive meaningful change. You'll have the opportunity to work on complex tax planning and wealth structuring for high-net-worth individuals, offering real variety and challenge in your day-to-day work.

About the role:

  • Manage your own client portfolio, delivering expert tax advice and ensuring compliance with confidence.
  • Build relationships with clients, becoming their trusted advisor through regular communication and support.
  • Provide day-to-day tax advice, addressing client tax queries and offering practical solutions to their everyday challenges.
  • Expand your portfolio by nurturing leads from the firm and generating your own through networking and referrals.
  • Review and manage personal tax returns and compliance tasks for high-net-worth individuals and trusts.
  • Resolve HMRC issues, enquiries and penalties with efficiency, ensuring smooth outcomes for your clients.
  • Assist senior team members on complex tax planning and wealth structuring, contributing to high-impact client strategies.
  • Provide specialised tax expertise to support corporate and business services teams across the firm.
  • Mentor junior team members, helping them to deliver high-quality service and stay compliant.
  • Promote an inclusive, collaborative environment that champions equality and diversity within the team.

About you:

  • ATT/ CTA qualification, or a similar professional qualification (QBE candidates may also be considered)
  • Significant exposure to personal and private client tax in a specialist or mixed role
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • Experience of working in a client-facing role
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to prioritise own workload and work to deadlines
  • A passion for providing excellent customer service
  • Ability to innovate and share ideas
  • Demonstrate accuracy in technical work delivered
