Job Purpose

• Lead the firm’s tax function ensuring excellence is delivered.
• Ensure the department is offering outstanding compliance and advisory services to a broad range of clients.
• Professionally represent the firm during networking opportunities, confidently scoping new business opportunities.
• Drive strategic target setting, as well as forecasting and reporting on department budgeting.
• Mentor managers and support with their learning and development to ensure they in turn manage the junior team effectively.
• Uphold close liaison with other departments.
• Oversee workflow and improve processes where possible.
• Identify services that will add value to your portfolio of clients.
• Champion the firm’s values within the team, motivating those around you.
• Provide professional and personable client-facing communication skills.
• Set an example for the team as a natural leader.

Job Requirements

• CTA or ATT qualified with extensive tax compliance and advisory experience within practice.
• Confident to represent the firm within new networks to secure new business.
• Previous senior management level leadership experience, with a positive attitude.
• Strategically minded in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency.
• Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written.
• Commercial acumen and an agile and flexible approach to leadership.
