GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a hugely successful and highly recognised leading international manufacturer on the outskirts of Worcestershire. We are supporting their recruitment for a Customer Account and Sales Manager to join their team on a full time, permanent contract.

This is a full-time position, working days Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week.Salary up to £50,0000 which is pending experience.

The successful Customer Account and Sales Manager will take ownership of the development of key customer relationships in the IGT and Aerospace markets, which will include overseeing all in contract relationship issues including customer support, pricing, price evolution, NPDI, change management (scope drift). You will have close collaboration with plant production, quality and engineering functions as well as with Group commercial function.

Customer Account and Sales Manager main duties:

  • Managing proactively all aspects of key customer relationships, including regular face to face reviews and reporting, monitoring project and orderbook status.
  • Facilitating and problem solving as appropriate to ensure continual progress and on time delivery of all projects and orders.
  • Proactively communicating as appropriate with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Be the in-plant lead for all 'new opportunity’ quotations.
  • Develop detailed customer proposals based upon engineering and cost information, and competitor and market knowledge.
  • Working closely with Engineering, Planning and Operations to ensure accurate status reporting to customers.
  • Supporting European commercial team by providing accurate customer demand forecasts, feeding back salient information received from customers and participating in cross group issues as necessary.
  • Management of 'in contract’ commercial issues, including but not limited to periodic price adjustment (CPI etc) and customer claims.

Customer Account and Sales Manager required skills and experience:

  • Experience and a proven track record of managing and developing successful customer relationships in the Engineering / Manufacturing sector.
  • Existing recent knowledge of, or working in, the precision casting industry or related sector would be desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with OEM’s in the Aerospace and/or IGT industries.
  • Clear business acumen with a good understanding of profit margins, business finance and management costing.
  • A confident communicator, driven and self-motivated with a desire to achieve results.
  • Initiative and solution focussed with a positive outlook and an ability to positively engage with all stakeholders.
