Quantity Surveyor Role Overview:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the costs and budget of our residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that their developments are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for new projects and variations.
- Monitor project finances and manage budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate financial risks.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitor construction progress and assess the value of work completed.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports on project finances to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in residential construction.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, legislation, and regulations.
- Excellent analytic and numerical skills.
- Proficient in industry-standard software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, cost management software).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
