Your new companyA local property consultancy in South Yorkshire is seeking an experienced and driven Commercial Property Surveyor to join their team. If you are passionate about property management and possess the required skills, this could be the role for you.Your new roleAs a commercial specialist within the business, you will work alongside a dedicated team of property professionals to provide a 1st grade service to an already established property portfolio. You will have a lot of autonomy within the role and will be encouraged to present your own ideas on how to manage the portfolio efficiently and supporting your clients where possible. If growing the pool of clients is something that you are interested in, then that will be rewarded also. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Valuations and Negotiations: Conduct valuations, rent reviews, lease renewals, and negotiations for a range of commercial properties.
- Property Surveys: Assess property conditions and identify necessary improvements.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of survey/valuation findings using company software.
- Client Interaction: Upsell property management services and provide exceptional customer service.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform data entry and manage office correspondence.
- Maintenance Coordination: Collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve property issues.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on survey results and present findings to management.
- Portfolio Management: Manage and expand a portfolio of commercial properties, ensuring compliance with client objectives and legal requirements.
- Market Intelligence: Provide strategic advice on property investments, acquisitions, and disposals.
- Collaboration: Work with legal teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver property solutions.
- Business Development: Support business development activities and identify new opportunities.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in property management or a related field.
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Veco or similar property management software.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and customer service.
- Degree in Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field (RICS accreditation preferred but not essential).
- Strong knowledge of property law, market trends, and regulations.
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office.
What you'll get in returnIn return, you will get a salary of £35,000-£38,000 doe. You will be able to earn commission on new clients bought into the business.
